This development is also taking place based on the more selective and responsible use of PFCs by industry as well as accelerated development of more environmentally acceptable CFC/HCFC replacements such as HFEs (segregated Hydrofluoroether) but also HFCs resulting in significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions for those applications.
